Inspiring the next generation through dance
Participation is central to Rambert’s work. Each year, we work with over 15,000 young people and community participants through schools, workshops and free creative programmes, reaching people across the UK.
Our work builds confidence, develops skills, and opens pathways into creative careers. With a focus on areas where access to the arts is limited, for many, it’s their first encounter with dance, an experience that can be truly life-changing.
Programmes include Early Moves supporting early years development through movement; Future Movement our youth programme for young people interested in dance and creativity; and Rambert Grades, our contemporary dance syllabus used by teachers and learners nationwide. We also deliver place-based work with schools and communities, including long-term partnerships in areas such as Lambeth.
Supporting participation means supporting access- enabling these programmes to reach more people, more consistently, particularly in areas where opportunities to engage with the arts are limited.
We need to raise £240,000 each year to underwrite these programmes, and we invite funding for specific education or community projects as well as more generally.
If you’re interested in supporting a specific participation activity or underwrite our work in this area at a significant level, we’d love to talk with you.
