Production note: Leon Woizikovsky and Lydia Sokolova, who had danced the lead roles with Diaghilev’s Ballets Russes, staged this ballet for the Rambert company. The costumes were after Bakst's originals for the Ballets Russes.

Music note: Mark Bowden's 2011 orchestration was used for the 2012 revival.
