Prue Skene

Prue Skene recounts her time as Rambert’s Executive Director (1975-1986) and Chair of the Board (2000-2009).

In this interview, Prue talks about her time with the Company and recalls many of the people she met along the way including Marie Rambert, Christopher Bruce, Richard Alston, Glen Tetley, and Michael Clark. In 1975, one of Prue’s first tasks as Executive Director was to organise celebrations for the Company’s fiftieth anniversary. Prue gives us an insight into the productions, events, decisions and challenges for Rambert in those decades and discusses how things have changed over the years.
