Keith Hodiak Keith Hodiak remembers his time as a dancer with Rambert from 1972 to 1975. Keith was born in Guyana and emigrated to the UK in the early 1960s. He became interested in dance when Lee Edwards came to his school in Stoke Newington and worked with pupils to put together performance shows. With Lee Edwards’ encouragement, Keith was awarded a scholarship to train at Arts Educational School. Later he spent a year working in Germany and then joined the Company which, at that time, was under the direction of Norman Morrice. In this interview, Keith recalls life as a dancer with Rambert – the daily class, endless rehearsals and constant touring. He also reflects on the roles he danced in works such as ‘Ziggurat’ (1967) and ‘Rag Dances’ (1971) by Glen Tetley and ‘…for those who die as cattle’ (1972) by Christopher Bruce.
