For young people aged 16-21 years Future Movement Rambert’s Free Creative Youth Programme You can change one thing in your life right now. Name it. Getting creative opens doors for you. Tell us how. You love meeting different people from all over the country. Because? Collaboration and creativity kickstart change. Break it down for us. Future Movement is a free, innovative programme designed for young people aged 16-21 who want to explore and expand their creativity. With sessions in three locations — Rambert London, Mansfield Palace Theatre, and Toxteth Library in Liverpool — it brings together diverse voices to create something meaningful. Whether you’re interested in performing, designing, or exploring behind-the-scenes roles, this is your space to express yourself, develop new skills and get inspired by industry professionals. This is not a dance club. Or a drama project. This is a weekly space that takes you seriously as the next generation of artists. What’s the focus for this season? From now until Spring 2025, we’re exploring the theme of Transition, inspired by artist Emma Evelein, who is currently working with Rambert dancers on the same subject. You’ll dive into this theme alongside guest artists, including Beats and Elements, a dynamic hip-hop theatre company. The season will culminate in a performance event: TRANSFORM in Liverpool in March 2025, where you’ll have the opportunity to perform live. If performing isn’t your focus, we’ll also support you in exploring other creative roles like backstage production, costume design, and filmmaking. What will I gain from taking part? By taking part, you will: Meet relevant professionals from across the creative industries, gaining insights into their career journeys and tips on working in the arts. Take charge of your creativity: Through hands-on experience, you’ll develop the confidence to shape your own professional journey. Work on a collaborative project centred around the theme of Transition. Develop and enhance creative skills that can inspire your future path, whether you’re interested in performing, design, filmmaking or backstage roles. Discover creative career paths that feel relevant to you, with the support of facilitators who help guide you through new opportunities and areas you might not have considered before.
