Artists in Residence Bespoke, curricular and co-curricular dance activity for schools and colleges Our Artists in Residence programme brings expert Rambert facilitators into schools and colleges to help students explore their creativity, delve deeper into their imaginations and develop their self-expression. Students will explore a recent piece of Rambert repertoire, and use this as their creative starting point. They’ll explore the themes of the work, the choreography and the creative process and develop their response to this as a group, all while honing their technical and performance skills. Who's it for? This programme is suitable for all ages, and is adapted specially to each key stage. All ages will focus on exploring and developing creativity, physical fitness, individuality, confidence and interpersonal skills, and for those studying GCSE, BTEC and A-level dance, we build on this with more focus on technique and choreography skills. You can opt for one class to take the workshop, multiple groups or even the entire school – find out more on our whole school takeover option below. How does it work? We know how difficult scheduling can be, so we offer a range of options to suit you. Our facilitators can come to your school or college for: A half day workshop A full day workshop A weekly programme, in 6-12 week blocks We’ve designed the programme to meet the learning objectives of the PE, PSHE and Dance curricula or it can be offered as an after school activity. Fancy coming to the building for your workshop instead? Click here to read about our Day at Rambert option. How much does it cost? We offer flexible pricing depending on your school’s needs. Get in touch with us at [email protected] to find out more. How do I book? Email the team at [email protected] to find out more. Looking for more? We can offer this programme as a whole school project in the Artists in Residence: Rambert Takeover. This package is a way for your whole school (or key stage) to explore their creativity, delve deeper into their imaginations and develop their self-expression. It’s big, bold and will have every child dancing. In a Rambert takeover, students receive: All sessions as described above, with as many Rambert facilitators as required Students professionally guided in working together to create their own fresh movement pieces An end of project performance of the children’s choreographies, produced by the Rambert team. This will be expertly brought to life by Rambert to include costume, props, and specially commissioned music or live musicians and can be at a theatre, performance space or the Rambert building Click here for our recent takeover of London Fields Primary School. I have enjoyed the teamwork and teambuilding with people in different classes. Getting to know each other, working out our strengths and weaknesses and being able to adapt in order to make the dance work. Daniella, Notre Dame Catholic High School
