Future100 Campaign Launch

We’re 100. And we’re just getting started.

Last week, Rambert welcomed 160 distinguished guests, supporters and friends to an exclusive event marking the launch of our Future100 campaign — a bold ambition to raise £1 million to secure the company’s next century of groundbreaking work.

In a room filled with artists, cultural leaders and long-standing champions of the company, we celebrated the extraordinary legacy of our founder, Marie Rambert, while looking firmly to the future. Guests enjoyed drinks and canapés before hearing from CEO and Executive Producer Helen Shute, Artistic Director Benoit Swan Pouffer, outgoing Chair Dame Sue Street, and incoming Chair Raf Bisse Duplan. Together they reflected on Rambert’s radical history and articulated a clear vision for what contemporary dance means today: fearless, collaborative, inclusive — and always evolving.

The evening brought our story to life through archive displays of historic costumes and footage, personal video tributes from friends of the company, and powerful films showcasing our work with young people — including our partnership with the Greater Manchester Combined Authority bringing dance into nursery settings. Guests were given an exclusive first look at material from the forthcoming This Is Rambert triple bill, including early development of brand-new works and special reveals offering insight into what’s to come.

The Future100 campaign will provide the critical investment needed to sustain Rambert’s creation of ambitious new work, nurture the next generation of artists, and extend meaningful access to dance for communities across the UK and internationally.

Over the coming months, we will be sharing 100 key moments from our history — landmark performances, defining collaborations and pivotal turning points — across our social channels. Follow the series using #Future100, explore the campaign, and consider supporting the work that will shape Rambert’s next chapter.
