Coronavirus (COVID-19)
Updated 6 August, 17:00 BST
The health and wellbeing of our staff, audiences and participants is our first priority.
During the current global outbreak of the coronavirus disease Covid 19, we have been following closely the advice from UK Government, Public Health England and the relevant authorities in the countries we’re working in around the world.
We are also working closely with our presenting venues and partners to take all precautions to keep people safe, and to help minimise the global threat of this disease.
The latest UK Government advice is for everyone to avoid non-essential contact including visits to theatres, clubs, pubs and other social venues.
Therefore, we are taking the following precautions:
Class and Workshops
As a result of the spread of the coronavirus, we have decided to cancel all of our classes. This includes morning professional classes, and all adult and children classes in the evening and weekend, effective Tuesday 17th March.
We are also cancelling workshops on Sunday 29th March.
Bookers for these classes and workshops can contact classes[ATSIGN]rambert.org.uk
We have committed to paying the contracts until the end of Spring term of the freelance artists who deliver our classes and workshops.
These are tough and uncertain times for everyone, including for arts organisations, their artists and their staff. Some patrons are choosing to treat the value of their bookings as a donation to the organisation — where this is possible, it helps a great deal.

Because we are hosted by venues we are being guided by their decisions on cancellation of performances. Therefore, you may receive communications from them directly regarding upcoming performances before hearing from us. We endeavour to keep our website up to date, but please bear with us.
Bookers for any of the above events should contact the issuer of their booking for further details on refunds or rescheduling. For direct links to these venues please visit our What’s On page.
Many theatres are asking bookers to consider donating the value of their ticket; this does a great deal help the industry in this uncertain time. Should you want to support Rambert directly you might consider making a donation via our Golden Giving page.
