Using Repertoire as a Starting Point for Technique Class and Creative Tasks

Who’s it for?: This session is designed for teachers delivering dance at KS3 and KS4, but is also valuable for those teaching KS5 Dance
Join us for the final Rambert Classroom CPD of the 2025/26 academic year.
Led by dance practitioner Emily Orme in partnership with One Dance UK, the session will explore how to use repertoire as a starting point for high-quality engaging dance lessons, focusing on the development of technical exercises and creative choreographic tasks.

- Technical and Expressive Skills – Learn and develop a variety of technical exercises linked to Rambert repertoire, designed to challenge students and support progression in relation to practical dance skills.
- Generating Choreographic Tasks – Discover new tasks and approaches using Rambert repertoire as a starting point, encouraging students to play with a variety of choreographic tools and devices whilst exploring their own movement language.
- Advocacy Update – Hear from One Dance UK about the latest developments in dance education, such as the Curriculum and Assessment Review Report and other key updates. Participate in an open Q & A, discussing the successes of the current academic year and outlining the potential challenges ahead.
