Work note: Dedication: 'For Sarah'. First performed on 29 April 1992 by Rambert Dance Company at the Company Choreographic Workshops 1992 season at Riverside Studios, London. The workshop performances had no set and used costumes from the Rambert wardrobe. The work was subsequently taken into the main repertoire, with commissioned set and costumes.
Production note: The lighting designer for the choreographic workshop performances was Ken Coker. When the work was taken into the main repertoire, the lighting designer was Peter Mumford, and Michael Craig-Martin was credited with 'design'.
