Work note: Dedication: 'Dedicated to Marie Rambert who shared my admiration for Isadora Duncan'. The programme for the world premiere at Ballet Rambert's 50th Birthday Performance incorrectly gave the title as four rather than five Brahms waltzes. Frederick Ashton originally choreographed waltz No. 15 for Lynn Seymour to perform at the Nijinsky Gala held by Staatsoper, Hamburg, Germany, on 22 June 1975.
