Music note: This dance work was originally choreographed to music by Olivier Messiaen ('Quatuor pour la fin des temps'), but the composer would not allow score to be used beyond the competition. When the work was taken into the Ballet Rambert repertoire, Jean Guillaume was commisioned to write a new score for the existing choreography.
