We bring ambitious, world-class performances to audiences across the UK and internationally. In 2024–25, we presented 85 performances to over 100,000 people, with international tours to Paris, Luxembourg, and Istanbul alongside major UK touring.

Our international ensemble reflects the diversity that drives our creativity: 65% from global majority backgrounds, 45% identifying as LGBTQ+, 20% neurodivergent, and 95% aged 20–34, making Rambert one of Europe’s most representative dance companies.

Nearly 20,000 people take part in our in-person programmes each year, with an additional 5,000 learners accessing Rambert Classroom and 16,000joining Rambert Plus, creating a hybrid annual reach of 935,000 engagements.

Our accredited Rambert Grades syllabus is embedded in schools and studios worldwide, helping to train the next generation of contemporary dancers.

Dance contributes £3.5bn of social value annually in the UK, saving £430m in health costs. As part of ACE’s National Portfolio, Rambert delivers £3.12 GVA for every £1 of public funding.

Rambert addresses inequality in access to creative opportunities, particularly for individuals from global majority, working-class, disabled, and neurodivergent backgrounds. These systemic barriers affect who participates, who progresses, and who feels culture belongs to them.

We believe in the creative potential of everyone. Through our Participation and Community programmes, we create inclusive pathways into dance, engaging nearly 20,000 in person and over 20,000 online annually.

Our Future Movement programme, a free youth creative employability project, reflects these values: 44% LGBTQ+, 34% global majority, 29% disabled or with a long-term health condition, and 21% neurodivergent.
96% of participants said the programme empowered them to take charge of their aspirations and creativity.

Our commissioning and casting practices champion artists from underrepresented backgrounds. Over one-third of our staff and nearly two-thirds of our dancers identify as global majority, and 38% of staff – rising to 45% among our dancers – identify as LGBTQ+, well above national averages.

We embed diversity, consultation, and co-creation across all areas of our work. Through focus groups, town halls, and feedback surveys, we design programmes that respond directly to community need.

We push contemporary dance forward by investing full-time in our company of 18 world-class dancers and supporting both established and emerging choreographers to create new work with them.
