Maria Ribo-O’Malley

Maria is inspired by classic movies up to the 1970’s, and enjoys exploring the ballet classics in a fresh, creative and individual way in her teaching. ‘I teach because my gut feeling says it’s my real vocation. And my gut has never disappointed me!’ By taking regular ballet classes, Maria loves to develop her discipline, coordination, and brain cell activation through ballet. She lives for the ‘superhuman feeling’ you gain, and we know she will bring her superhuman energy to class. Born in Spain, Maria began her dance training at an early age and graduated from The Royal Ballet Upper School before joining English National Ballet (ENB). Promoted to First Artist, she performed all the classics and many modern productions and soloist roles in Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella, Swan Lake and The Nutcracker. One of the highlights of her career as a dancer was to perform at Concert For Diana at Wembley Stadium alongside Tom Jones, Take That amongst other featured artists.
