Beginners Yoga: Lift your Energy Up with Pieter

Let’s try something new today with former Rambert dancer Pieter Symonds’ yoga class. Together, you and Pieter will focus on an uplifting class to raise energy. You’ll open and expand the front of your body, to create space and lift your energy up. There will be light stretches, sun salutations and standing postures. Today you’ll need a yoga mat and two blocks, if you have them.

Yoga: The Lord of the Dance Pose with Eryck

Flow with Eyrck in this week’s yoga session. You’ll work towards ‘Natarajasana’, the Lord of the Dance pose which will give you lots of inspiration from all around you. You’ll be thinking about sharing what you have learnt from your own role models, and focusing on seeing and treating everyone equally throughout your life. For this class, you’ll need 2 blocks, a yoga belt or towel, if you have them. Suitable for beginners and over 60 with some moderations available.

Yoga: How to Balance with Eryck

Be the first out of your friends to try out Eryck’s Vinyasa flow this week. You’ll learn how to be a problem solver, and how to balance. You’ll also learn about the 4 principles; Sama, Dana, Beda and Danda. You’ll need a mat, bricks, books, a yoga belt or a tie from bathrobe. This is suitable for beginners and over 60s with some moderations.

Slow Flow Yoga: Find Peace and Calm with Pieter

Pieter will guide you through this new Slow Flow class. In this class, you’ll do half the usual number of poses for a standard flow class, but you’ll be holding them for longer to emphasise peace and calm within your own body. For this class, you’ll need a block and/or a rolled up yoga mat used in addition to your regular mat.

This Yoga class is designed for people who are 60+. It’s for those that want to move more slowly with focus on breath, stability and finding balance. Great if you want to take it slow or if you’re a beginner. Participants may want to use blankets and/or blocks if needed.

Restorative Yoga: Rest and Digest with Eryck

Restorative yoga suitable for all levels. In this class, Eryck explores yin practice, consisting of longer holds of poses to activate the ‘rest and digest’ mode of the body. Participants may use a yoga brick (can use thick books), and a yoga belt (can use a bath robe belt).

Beginners Yoga: Standing Postures with Pieter

In this beginners yoga class with Pieter, you’ll focus on coming back in tune with your ego. You’ll start with a heated warm up and standing postures, finishing with sun salutations to end grounded and supported. Participants may use 2 yoga blocks (can use metal cans and a small towel).

If you’ve taken a few ballet classes before this one, we recommend trying this out if you want to extend your knowledge even further. This beginners ballet class includes barre and centre excercises, focusing on rises and releves and aiming to strengthen the feet.
