This course introduces the fundamentals of contemporary dance for beginners: flow, strength, weight transfer, momentum, and floorwork, so that by the end, you’ll feel confident moving with control and expression. 

Class 1 👉 Day 1

Beginners Contemporary: Guided Basic Technique with Simone – Rambert Plus 

In this session, you’ll learn basic footwork, posture, and weight placement while finding your natural flow, building confidence to move with ease. 

Class 2 👉 Day 2

Beginners Contemporary: Technique and Phrase with Simone – Rambert Plus 

You’ll strengthen your legs with pliés and weight transfers while linking movements into short phrases, helping you feel grounded and more coordinated. 

Class 3 👉 Day 3

Beginners Contemporary: Basic Technique and Jumps with Simone – Rambert Pls 

This class builds demi-pointe control and introduces jumps, giving you the chance to apply strength in movement, improve stamina, and learn a short, high-energy phrase. 

Class 4 👉 Day 4

Beginners Contemporary: Rotations and Twists with Adél – Rambert Plus 

As you will now be more comfortable, you’ll explore connecting the upper and lower body through rotational and twisting movements, creating more fluid and dynamic combinations with Adel. 

Class 5 👉 Day 5

Beginners Contemporary: Release and Travel with Adel – Rambert Plus 

By focusing on releasing tension in the back and shoulders while moving across space, you’ll develop a freer, more expansive movement quality. 

Class 6 👉 Day 6

Beginners Contemporary: Introduction to Floorwork with Conor – Rambert Plus 

In this session, we will introduce you to floorwork. An essential in contemporary dance. You’ll learn to transition safely and comfortably to the floor, using it as an active part of your dancing rather than something to avoid. 

Class 7 👉 Day 7

Beginners Contemporary: Basic Floorwork with Liam – Rambert Plus 

This session refines your floorwork with folds, counterbalances, and elbow-led movement, allowing you to explore stability and flow close to the ground. 

Class 8 👉 Day 8

Beginners Contemporary: Momentum and Floorwork Phrase with Conor – Rambert Plus 

To wrap up the course, you’ll combine all your skills into a final phrase that blends momentum, floorwork, and expressive movement for a full-body challenge.
