Ballet: Beginners
In this Beginners class, Brenda will share the basics and foundations of Ballet technique with a healthy and holistic approach encouraging supportive alignment, functionality and efficiency, focus, balance, coordination and strength. You will develop a deeper awareness of your body and relationship to the space, all while moving with musicality.
Suitable if: you’ve never taken a ballet class before, or been once or twice and want to refresh your memory.
Meet the Teacher: Brenda Lee
Originally from Malta, Brenda Lee Grech has an international portfolio career in the dance sector. Her professional experience spans over 17 years working as a performer, teacher, choreographer and an advocate for the arts. She has worked for renowned companies, Punchdrunk, Rambert, Scottish Ballet andBallet d’Europe, as well as an active member of several initiatives by UK based organisation Dancers Career Development. Her latest work as choreographer on the movie The Dancing Detective: A deadly Tango, is now streaming on the Hallmark movie channel. This year Brenda Lee has also taken the role of Head Judge on the Maltese television talent show Brillanti, for the 2023 dance series.
Brenda Lee will soon be joining ZfinMalta as rehearsal director for Mauro Bigonzetti’s work, Cantata.
