Our next CPD course is on 22nd January 2026: Studying Rambert for high achievers at A-level- practical and theoretical approaches to stretch and challenge your students. We have both in person option and online options:
At Rambert: 10am-3pm
Online: 3:30-4:30pm (condensed version)
This session is designed for A-Level Dance teachers, but is also valuable for those teaching GCSE Dance.
Led by Claire Noonan, the session will:
Choreography
- Include practical session exploring improvisation tasks to cultivate originality for high achieving choreographers.
- Explore choreography questions of 2026 to help keep your students on track and tips for success.
- Delve into exemplar choreography: marking and sharing the components of a 30 or higher in group choreography.
Rooster
- Prepare your students for short answer and essay-based questions on the set work at A Level.
- Identify key motifs, themes and the constituent features of Rooster to prepare your students for success.
- Explore exemplar scripts of high achievers with a focus on understanding the marking.
History
- Explore ideas to stretch and challenge your most high achieving students using a variety of resources only available at Rambert.
- Awaken your students’ knowledge on the practitioners within Rambert and other areas of study: what students need to know.
- Explore example responses and marking tasks with feedback.
